Tingshas

I am very pleased with myself today, as I finally found a perfect pair of handmade Tibetan Tingshas, also known as Tibetan Cymbals, to use in my Sound Healing sessions.

I am a Sound Healer who uses Chakra Healing Tuning Forks to clear, balance and align the body's chakra system and auric field. The tuning forks are really effective and the healing is extremely deep and powerful. The Tingshas will be used to prepare the space by cleansing it of unwanted energies, opening the healing session and closing it.

In the West Tingshas are used for meditation, auric field healing, space clearing and sound therapy treatment. In Buddhist traditions they are used for ceremonial purposes, rituals, chanting and blessings. When the two pieces strike each other (traditionally they are struck at a 90 degree angle but are also struck side on for the same effect) they produce a clear, pure, cleansing sound focusing the mind before and after meditation or a healing session.

They are excellent for clearing away stuck, dark or unwanted energies from a room. I have been going around my flat to each corner of the room in a clockwise manner and chiming them, this is the best way to clear energies from a room as they tend to collect in the corners. The sound is so loud, clear and pure, you can feel it reverberate through you, in a very relaxing and calming way.

I was keen to get a pair with the Tibetan Buddhist dragon motif, which symbolises protection and safety. The Om Mani Padme Hum motif cymbals are also good. Even if you are not a Buddhist, this mantra is very powerful when repeated over when using Tingshas.

I will update you with my use of the Tingshas in my work. If you are in London and are interested in having a sound healing session then please check out my website for details: www.aquarianholistic.co.uk
